Salespeople have to walk a tight rope being careful not to tip over into the typical "greediness" in order to maximize their commission but we saw that Kevin McKernan has mastered that balance well. My brother-in-law and I had been planning a boat purchase for a few years. As we got closer to a decision, the Orlando Boat Show was coming up in September of 2025. I reached out to Ultimate via Instagram for some passes. Connor Krantz responded very quickly and we had an appointment scheduled within a few days. We knew a lot of what we wanted, but needed to see some boats in person to really get a good feel for how they would fit our needs. We looked at the Sea Hunt Gamefish and Ultra models and ultimately selected the Ultra due to its preferred setup for family runs to the sandbars and out in the gulf, although we will do some fishing as well. Connor confirmed with Sea Hunt some of the new design specs that the 2027 model would have over the 2026. We preferred those specs and decided to wait and build exactly what we wanted in the latest model. Connor never pushed us into something we didn't like. He was patient with us and kept us up to date during the entire process. In late winter 2026, we submitted the build to Sea Hunt. As early summer approached, the build was completed and delivery scheduled. The boat turned out better than expected. Connor handled the entire transaction professionally and has continued to follow up post delivery to ensure everything meets our expectations.
